Flintshire DO IT: Making Communities More Inclusive (Film)

DO – IT’s mission is to “make our communities more inclusive positive places, by bringing locals together”, including people with learning disabilities. It aims to do this by helping its local community develop and grow inclusive projects and activities, such as the popular community cinema.

Care to Co-operate has worked with Flintshire DO IT to register it as Community Interest Company (CIC). Flintshire DO IT became a Community Interest Company – a shining example of what co-production can achieve as the founder members are people who have learning disabilities, their families and people who work in the public and third sectors.

Flintshire DO IT is an example of people coming together, because of their involvement with the social care and support sector, to have more say about the life they want to lead.
